2023 OGHA: Sagamu Residents Pledged Supports, As Omooba Dre Officially Declares Intention To Run For Ogun Assembly

Ahead of the 2023 general election, a chieftain of People’s Democratic Party in Ogun state, Omooba Damilare Muhammadu Bello, otherwise known as Dre, has declared his intention to represent the good people of Sagamu State Constituency 1 at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The official declaration was held on Monday, 7th of March 2022, took place at both party LG Secretariat at Makun and Ori-Iyanrìn.

A tour to declaration which the party faithfuls converged at Party Secretariat in Makun; followers and lovers of Omooba Dre moved in their hundreds and march down to Ori-Iyanrìn at hospital road, in support of Damilare Bello.

Omooba Damilare who spoke to Eaglesforesight reporters through AfricanCamera shortly after the declaration, explained that what prompted him to contest for the State House of Assembly seat is the poor representation of this present representative and for the interest of his Constituents in the community and state at large.

He said, “As a member going to represent my people at the State House of Assembly, we must make a good representation by making a good law that will be conducive for the community and the state at large; and in turn have positive effects in the life of all and sundry.

“This is democracy, I urged my supporters to keep supporting PDP and to maintain Peace” Dre concluded.

In a brief interview, Eaglesforesight correspondent gathered that people’s support for Dre was on the note of his activities and commitments to the growth of his town, and welfarism of his people.

Damilare contested during the previous House of Assembly in 2019, just a year after he joined the Chairmanship race and he pulled mammoth crowd, yet, he is not tired of promoting and preaching what the Party stands for, he is again showing interest ahead of 2023 General Election.

One of the party stalwart, Abana declared his total support for Omooba, and he urged other party members to support him religiously.

In the course of the event, Former PDP House Of Rep Candidate, Hon. Abolarinwa Oluwole addressed all other party members, he said, People’s Democratic Party in Ogun State is one and there’s no other faction; “we are all for Oladipupo Adebutu”, he stated.

The PDP Chairman in Sagamu, and the Secretary in their different remarks after receiving Dre’s letter of Interest; commended Dre for his aspiration, pledged their maximum support for Omooba Damilare if he eventually got the party ticket.

Party stalwarts and dignitaries present to show support for Damilare were; Elewedu, the Former Ogun Assembly member; Hon. Jaddo, Hon. Bolarinwa Oluwole, Jaspa, Hon. Adunmo among others.
